When removing the sway bar end links, should the suspension be under load? I have the car supported on a Quickjack lift. When disconnecting the LR end link I heard a loud "pop" when I loosened the lower bolt. Almost like something was shifting under tension. The pop was not from the bolt breaking as it tightened back up fine.

Both wheels should be off the ground so the sway bar is unloaded.

Thanks. That's what I figured. Both wheels are off the ground/off the car so the sway bar should be in a state of rest with zero load on either side.
