Geek Trivia...Transit Coating Remover

When our cars were delivered, they wore a protective paint coating. As the windshield warning sticker stated, the coating should be removed within four months of date of manufacture. The remover was shipped with the vehicle. I am sure most people do not give a rip about this (I understand completely) but thought it was interesting trivia.

The delivering dealer (no longer in business) let the original owner take the car home with the paint coating still intact. He warned him it must be removed within XX days or, it was death by firing squad. After the job of removing the coating was complete, there was still a small amount of solution in the bottle. He kept everything so, I still have the bottle.
