Anyone Want To Help Me Buy A ZR-1?
Hi Gents.
Decided it’s time to pull the trigger. I’ve been shopping for ZR-1s unofficially for years, but now is the time to get one. I have some Corvette experience (79, 87 and 90), and I used to wrench some on weekends, but a mechanic I am not. That being said, I do hope to start wrenching a bit once it’s in hand. Could could I not when that beautiful engine is under the wide open hood? So, as I don’t want a restoration project, I’d love one with the major issues addressed. And I don’t think I can swing some of the museum quality ones I have seen in here. Plus, I want to drive mine, so having something that looks brand new underneath isn’t a practical option either. Performance isn’t actually my biggest concern. So nothing crazy modded. So I guess what I’d want is a very nice driver. Ideally. A 94 or 95, as the later seat design allows all 6’4 of me to get in and out easier. Or could I retrofit the later seats into an earlier one? I also live in Canada, which means it would have to be shipped, and I’d be buying it sight unseen. Scary thought! But a known good member with a solid history helps alleviate some of that worry. Price? I’d like to keep it in the low 20’s. Is that possible? So any suggestions? Any recommendations? Thanks for this great community! Erik |

There’s also a nice 95 ZR-1 for sale in Canada that you should take a look at: http://www.zr1netregistry.com/Market...-30000-ON.aspx
