Default How do you run a 1.8x or lower '60 time?

These Mark Williams 31 spline spindles will help build your courage.

Karl I have Nitto NT05R Drag Radial they work fine at the track.
Put them in the water box for 3 seconds and walk them out.
Start at 20 PSI.
Trust me they will work

I would do this with all Drag Radials no matter which brand you decide to go with.

Enjoy
Pete

Nice! Are these still available? I need to pull the rear wheels and confirm if the rear splines are stock on my car. I am pretty sure they are.

Will go for it. Been running at 32 psi.

Been thinking about a line lock for the burnout box.

Will see what happens in warmer weather.

You can get them direct from Mark Williams

https://www.markwilliams.com/50225.html

You will also have to send them a pair of rear bearing hubs for broaching out from 27 to 31 splines. Many thanks to FBI Bob G for pioneering this excellent solution with WM.

I run 315/35-17 MT DRs at around 16 PSI. Just like Pete said, 3-4 seconds in the water box then let them push you out. Line lock makes it easy.

Definitely touchy finding the balance with these cars. I only have about 8 or 9 passes in my Z vs the GS. I either bogged or spun. I run the m/t drag radial (315/35/17) that I get 1.50 60's in the GS with. When my GS was stock cube I was able to get it down to low 1.7's so I figure I need some more seat time to try and get the Z 60' down. Obviously track prep plays a big part in it also for what it will hold, especially with a stick car. You really need to slide the clutch out instead of dumping it. I also do my burnout in 2nd and roll it out. Wanted to get it out this spring but the tracks are still on hold with this virus crap!

Summers brothers also makes a outer spindle that's been holing up in the GS.

Here are some other thoughts on this . My best 60 foots came when I had 410 s in the car . After I retired went back to 345s and my 60 fats hovered around 2.0 but my ets got a half a second slower . Which wasn’t much fun lol . I do run the light weight flywheel though . Talking with Pete he runs I believe a 19/20 lb flywheel which may help the 11 lb fidanza works well with the 4.10s but not so well with the 3.45s stk dual mass is about 45 lbs . Just remember the better you bite the more you can break . Hope this helps in some small way . Oh one might experiment with 245 x17 they have a taller sidewalk that might bite better
