I saw this on eBay today. Anyone know the background on the car? I don't have the magazine, just curious.

I'm pretty sure I remember seeing that car on display at Bloomington Gold when it was in Bloomington in the early '90s or in Springfield IL in 1993.--Bob

I remember that car. Chevrolet's Special Service Vehicle team, the people who did cop cars back then, decked-out a ZR-1. The logo on the door is the one Special Service Vehicles used back then. At the time, Jim Ingle was a big fan of the Black Hills Classic and I'll bet he was the one who took the car there.

I recall a "DARE" Corvette ZR-1 in Michigan at one time and thought the vehicle was in the hands of Detroit Police Department. Could DPD still have it?

I remember that car and the City of Ann Arbor had 2 of them.... one in black and the other in white.
