Default Torque Sequence on IH

So the FSM shows a torque sequence for the intake plenum, but not the IH's. I do see the torque spec in the FSM which says 20 lb ft, and the LT-5 Supplement Book, which says 19 lb ft... for the fasteners... but neither is showing the tightening sequence..... unless Im just looking in the wrong places....

There is no official sequence. Start in the middle and crisscross torquing the bolts. 20ftlbs. Use blue Loctite.

Just follow the same progression that is shown for the plenum, i.e. from the center first, then to next bolt to one side of center, then next bolt to the other side from center, and so-on until done.

It is best if you tighten in stages instead of tightening to full torque the first pass. For low torque such as the plenum & injector housings, in sequence, 1st pass tighten to 1/2 torque, then 2nd pass full torque, and 3rd/final pass check full torque again.

For a large part like the oil pan, follow the same procedure, except alternate to opposite side, back & forth as you work outwards from the center.
