Default U-Joint FUN

Over the holidays I had a chance to diagnose my wife's squeaky rear.
Initial inspection revealed nothing.
Everything felt tight, so further disassembly was required to find the one dry cap causing all the ruckus.
Thought I would share the fun with all my ZR-1 brothers.

ICK.
Lack of periodic maintenance on an old car will cause that.

Slick method for holding the big clamp, I will try that next time. I generally used a big bench vise but I like your arrangement.

Not to sure the joints even have a grease fitting, so no amount of maintenance would have stopped this.

Shrek, perhaps you might want to rephrase your description, lest your wife read it.... -Bob
