Default Building the beast.

I came across this excellent read on building the LT5 and what the program meant to the future development of gen III and later engines. Very interesting material.

And they just couldn't put a raised hood on the C-5 and use the 475 HP version ? Ok people just fork over $ 27,000 dollars for 375 HP please.....Has to be the highest dollar option ever in any GM vehicle...

I have a C5 with 585hp and a stock hood.

Even with all that precision, they somehow managed to mismatch the injector housing and the intake ports in the heads. I can't fathom how they missed that.

Ive wondered that myself.... all the hand work and precision, but no port matching on parts that seemingly could have been manufactured together for a perfect match...
