Default FX3 Issues

I got a code 22 on my 92 Z. Right rear timeout. I talked to Gordon and he suggested that the nut on top of the shock maybe loose. It wasn’t. According to the manual, I checked that the selector on top of the shock was loose and free and it was. I then reconnected the actuator control back up to the car after checking for broken teeth. I had someone turn the ignition on and there was nothing. I did this several times with the same result. Then I reached up to the connector and turned it around and then actuator started going back and forth like crazy and then stopped. It did this a couple of times when I had the key on and off. I’m of the opinion that the connector somehow didn’t make a good connection and threw the code for whatever reason. FYI, the shock had no leakage at all.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you got it. I would have clean the connector real good and added some dielectric grease to seal it.

A big question for you guys. I went through and checked everything and it looks good. However, do I have go drive it to get the code to disappear? The code 22 is still coming up. I’m going to check the voltage and see if the feedback circuit works. Just curious if you have drive it after checking it.

If it's working, it should clear. I recently had an issue with one of my fronts and the light went out on the next start after fixing the issue.

Self induced issue. Had pulled both front controllers to inspect, and found the right front gear needed replacing. Got that done, then reinstalled both but still had the light. Apparently I hadn't reseated the right front properly, as I took it off and reseated it and the light immediately cleared.

Just did the same with a Service Ride Control 21 code (front left time out). I took the actuator off to check the metal gear on top, all looked good. Unplugged the connector and all looked good so reconnected. Turned the key on (no need to start up), light went out.
