I considered a standard C4 sending unit, but decided to stick with the dual pump setup to feed the 1000 HP TT.

I was thinking that no programming changes would be required even if the secondaries throttle plates are still in place as long as the pump you use will provide enough fuel for full power. It will run off the primary fuel pump electrical circuit so the fuel will be available all the time.

One thing to consider is that just leaving it plugged into the stock wiring it may not net you the voltage you need to run those pumps at that power level. With it hardwired to a relay off the battery it will basically get around 13-14volts while running. While if hooked to the stock wiring it might only read 11.5-12 volts. I am not certain as I am used to cars that are newer so they have an actual fuel control module. 1000 hp tt sounds pretty sweet.

Same problem for my 90 - the fuel gauge hasn't worked for a long time. It always shows empty. Tried to find a replacement with no luck so after some searching I found a place that claims to be able to rebuild the one I have. I'm a little hesitant so I'm wondering if any of you have ever heard of them or perhaps used them. Here's the link: http://www.tristarrradiator.com/

Mmitton. Precast1 had same issue as you on his 1,700 mile 90. I fixed his with a pencil eraser and a solder gun. Eraser cleaned the rheostat surface. We discovered lack of continuity across a solder joint. Re soldered the joint and all was well. We figured it had a micro break is the joint unseen to the eye.
I would be glad to do the same for yours if sent to me. Send PM
