What would be the best way to clean oxidization/corrosion from wheel?
My wife and I just inherited our 1990 Z and we have been cleaning it a bit an when cleaning the wheels I noticed the oxidization/corrosion. I tried to clean them with simple green and 0000 wool and mothers mag polish but it won’t come off.

Unfortunately, I think the only way to get a decent result is to have a wheel shop re-machine the wheel. Paint or polish would remove the original machined finish.
Wheels Techniques in CA qouted $209 /each wheel. I've had this done to a set of '93 sawblades, and they turned out great.

Yeah, they were clear-coated from the factory, so steel wool will only damage that further. Your only options are to remove the clear completely and polish them, or take them to an expert for refinishing.

Thank y’all for the replies. Now I know for future projects not to use wool.
Would anyone have a recommendation on a good shop in the Houston TX area? Sent from my iPhone using ZR-1 Net Registry

Might be possible to clean them up by removing the clear coat, and use some mild abrasive along the "grain" of the machined surface before re-coating with clear.
