When I got my trans back from Bill a couple of month ago, he did suggest using 3m Window Weld. You can get it at AutoZone or via web. When I took my C-Beam off to pull the transmission, there was a bit of what appeared to be a gray, hardening adhesive on the mating surfaces of both the tailstock of the transmission and the front of the differential. I elected to center and torque the C-Beam in using the beam plates without using the Window Weld to see if it caused any issues. So far, absolutely no problems. No need to trouble about those jigs. A wood pencil will suffice as material to make the two measuring slugs (jigs).
