35 Winter storm watch; possible icy conditions. Sleet and/or snow begin early/mid-p.m., changing to freezing rain late. Precip shifts to all rain Sat. night. Even if we try to make it tomorrow, one or more of us may decide tomorrow morning not to show up. That leaves everyone that does go in the lurch. It may be fine in the morning but could make driving more difficult in early pm when we head back home. I vote we pass this weekend. We could give it a shot for next and if not that, then wait till spring. |

I'm new to the Z (had mine about a month now), and appologize for not being up to speed on the dyno day. I've been trying to run down some new rubber for my new baby, and am having some frustration with that - promises made and not kept by a certain tire dealer.... But, if all goes as hoped, I may have the tires on by next Saturday, 12/8. Besides...I wouldn't be too tickled about driving a pristine Z 65 miles home in the kind of winter crap we have forcasted for our area anyway (today). So, if the dyno day is rescheduled for next Saturday, I may be interested to "baseline" my Z. Again forgive me for my trying to catch up, but where exactly is this location, and what does it cost, and can just anybody (like me) come, or would I be a party (read: "by invitation only") crasher? I'd love the opportunity to meet some of the area "Corvette afficinados" that have also lusted for and finally landed their "Zs"! Hoping to meet you soon! P. |

Re: Chicago Dyno Day
Paul, it's open to all the more Z's the better it'll be worth the drive.
You will meet a bunch of good ZR-1 guys with some awesome ZR-1's and a bunch of knowledge about the LT5, make a list of questions and ask away. If you just wanna base line your Z and don't wanna make the drive up you could find a shop closer to you with a dyno. Pete
