Default New coolant expansion tank rattles

The coolant expansion tank in my Z leaks at the nipple that connects to the overflow. I got a new one but the new one rattles like it has a marble inside. is this normal?

There are no moving parts so I can't imagine a rattle.

Just make sure you have the three screws tight and the hose tight and free of obstruction?

Hi,
If it's the black tank at the rear passenger side of the engine compartment, I think they have a low coolant sensor on the bottom with an electrical connection. The sensor moves up and down, maybe it's that? If it is that, I believe it's normal.

Bill

Its probably that. It is in the lower part of the tank.
