Default Why isn't the Registry open to all Z?

I know this has been discussed,I should have paid more attention to the thread,It only makes since. More traffic, exposure and of course more money generated. Why won't the powers that be make this happen?

I come here to learn about 1st gen ZR-1's and LT5's.
I don't think site is going to expose our cars and make the value explode.
Seems to me we have enough income to keep us out of trouble.

I can't imagine the work that goes into this site. And making it for all ZR1s would be a headache....Granted every generation Vette that has wore the ZR1 badge is special. They are more than welcome here anytime But only one is legendary and that is the LT5. It's development and history make it unlike any other Corvette in their storied history. If the owners of other Gen Zs want to start a incredibly awesome owners site like this one, let them.......

I love all the knowledge and enthusiasm on this forum and in the Registry group for the ZR-1s and LT5s. But I also think the group could benefit considerably from expanding its horizon to include the various generations of these special cars. There are five years of next gen ZR1s out there and there is a new ZR1 on the horizon (with an engine called the LT5). I spend time on other Corvette forums which seem to have no trouble having separate sections for different generations of Corvettes or separate sections for say, regular C7 Stingrays and C7 Z06s. For example, when I am on the Corvette Forum I regularly go through and contribute to sections for the C7 Z06, the C7 Stingray, the C4 ZR-1, and C2s. I am once again coming to the ZR-1 gathering this spring but also might go to one for the Z06s. I am interested I all the special Corvettes.

By including all the generations, the Registry could benefit from an increased knowledge base, more revenue and some healthy cross pollination. Who knows? Maybe a new gen owner will get excited about a C4 ZR-1 and get one of them, or maybe a ZR-1 owner with end up getting into an newer gen Z. These newer cars are quite interesting and impressive and might interest our current members, and the rarity and special engineering of the C4 might get younger new gen owners as excited as we have been about them.

I know Dom had started a thread on this a while back. I would like to know where the board comes down on this issue. Perhaps it should be discussed and maybe voted on at the spring gathering to see where everyone is on it. I understand arguments both for inclusion and keeping our group separate. Still I would hate to see the group dwindle for lack of action on an issue like this. It would seem prudent to act on it one way or another sooner rather than later to preclude another organization from running with this idea. --Bob

I think it's just a matter of time before there is another Z site dedicated solely for the ZR-1/ZR1. 3 generations soon to be 4.

I don't have a strong interest in any Corvettes other than the C4 ZR-1. If I did, I'm sure I could go find a forum for them, right? I like the narrow focus of this site. It's not diluted with a lot of non-C4 ZR-1 content.

I probably would not have joined if it contained all Z gens. Just stuck to the "ZR-1" portion of the corvetteforum.
