Winner of Ron Fellows driving school contest..
Anyone remeber during Carlisle when you picked up your care package you could sign up to win a three day trip to Ron Fellows driving school in Nevada?
I remember doing it when I picked up my care package just for the hell of it..I mean it was free so what the hell... I get a certified letter last week stating I was the winner....Being from NY all my life I was skeptical....I called and they said they did announce my name on Saturday at Carlisle but I guess I had already left... It's a three day stay at the resort at his school and about 250 miles of drive time behind a new stingray or Z06..... You also get a five hundred dollar visa gift card you can use to offset expenses...Of course food and airfare are not included.... Thing is the trip is valued at 4,750 dollars and if you accept you get a 1099 for that amount..... Anyone ever attend this driving school? It actually does look like a good time and it's simetthing I am considering....There also allowing me to bring a guest but of course just for the stay at the resort, not the driving part...Allthough I believe reading they will give your guest - wife or girlfriend a few laps on the track with one of the instructors... I'm considering accepting the prize...I told them jokingly all the times I been to Vegas I was in no condition to drive....Lol... |

It's well worth it. I had a blast. Completely retaught me how to drive. Great school for any level driver. Definitely go!

I've been there 3 times. Excellent facility & instructors. You will find out just how great the Corvette really is on a road course, with a professional driver behind the wheel.

Re: Winner of Ron Fellows driving school contest..
I am heading out there on September 27th for a two day Z06 driving school that is partially underwritten by GM for owners of Corvettes or Z06s purchased new. Costs me only $1,000 plus travel so yours sounds like a great deal. My brother in law went and loved it and many on the www.Stingrayforums.com and www.CorvetteForum.com/C7 Z06 forums report having a great time. I am looking forward to it. If you decide to go, search both of those forums for "Spring Mountain" as there is a lot written about the experience, what to take, etc. -Bob
