Default IAT sensor

Can anybody tell me what the resistance should be on the IAT sensor? I was thinking about moving it to a cooler location and just happen to have an IAT from a '96 vortec laying around. It mounts in a rubber grommet and could easily be mounted in the air cleaner.

Don't know if it helps, but it's an interesting project to me.

I know I get a lot of heat soak in the air horn.

From the 90 FSM chart on DTC 23, temp in F*/ C* = Ohms reading.

210/100 approx = 185
160/70 approx = 450
100/38 approx = 1,800
70/20 approx = 3,400
40/4 approx = 7,500
20/-7 approx = 13,500
0/-18 approx = 25,000
-40/-40 approx = 100,700

mark haibeck moves the sensor to the edge of the air dam that way the readings are actual. why not just plug the airhorn and use the one you have with your rubber gromet

That's what the plan was, but I wanted to make sure the resistance was close so the calibration wouldn't be off too far.
