Default Who can read my unknown chip?

Hi,

I've posted it a few times here but I think it's worth its own thread now.

I bought my '91 ZR-1 last fall and I discovered it has a performance chip. However, I don't know what's in the chip so I feel it is pretty useless.

Anybody know where it's from? Or who can read it?

Thanks!

Looks like Ron Zimmer's writing to me so I'd guess Z industries chip.

MuRCieLaGo, do you have access to a chassis dyno?

If yes, you should go, do a run and have them log air fuel/ratio before sending your chip off. That way, the reader/tuner can also make changes if needed.

Or, you may see that your AFR is pretty good and your chip is fine as is.

Thanks a lot, I just sent an email to Z-Industries. However, it seems they are in California, and the car spent its life in Ohio...

I've got access to a local dyno. I'll probably end up buying a chip from Marc Haibeck because I'm installing headers at the moment. Does he really want to know my AFR?
