Default Did you fire up your ZR-1 today?

It's been a little warmer winter than usual here in Wisconsin. I decided I would fire her up to warm up the oil and move her around a little. I would be tempted to drive around a little as there isn't much salt on the roads right now and things have been dry for a few days. My collector plates mean I can't legally drive it in January though

When I went to put her away, I couldn't get it in reverse ... what the?? You'll know I haven't driven her in a while when I tell you I was trying to go "up" for reverse, rather than down. I finally figured it out and got back in the garage.

Here's hoping for an early spring. BTW, you southerners don't have to post about how you drive all year long

Yes! Sunny, dry....couldn't stand it another minute! The air was cool and she was feeling especially frisky because of it!

Torch Reds are lookin' gooood.

Didn't get to drive the Z today… it's stored in another location. But… did finish building up a 'new' Cannondale 29" mountain bike from the frame up. Some parts from the old bike (cracked frame), some parts new. Cannondale Lefty 29ers are such sweet machines -- if you're into mountain biking.

Now… badly need to install an LT5…

I did, but the best fire up was last week when my wife took the Z to visit her Dad in the Nursing home, he's 90 and a WWII vet. He wanted to hear it run, she said he was grinning ear to ear.

Been driving it the past 2 days. I have noticed a lot more rattles lately.

I took it up to check out an ATS-V

Beautiful here in Olive Branch, MS. Went out for a ride for several hours. I love the smile it puts on my face every time I drive it.

Took mine out today as well. Went across town for a haircut and to have breakfast with my folks. Got back and put it up on stands to check the rear wheel bearings...

May start it up tomorrow since it'll be close to 50.Also putting rear end on stands to do the DRM trailing arm brackets. Mount the Michelin SS tires on rears also. That should prove interesting for fitment.
I'm going to pull off nose cover to get that re-done.
