Default Right bank O2 sensor.

Who designed this thing?

I decided to change the O2 sensors today. Left bank, no problem once I get a jack short enough to get under the car.

Right bank, the conversation with myself goes something like this:
"Where the heck does that plug go?" "Oh, there it is. Opps, pulled the plug out of the socket. How come it won't come out further? Dang it! Ohhh, it's tied to this piece of sheetmetal...Well, my big hands won't get in there. How am I going to get this plugged back in? Oh great, now the socket is wiggling back and forth."

I never did get it fully back in. It's in to the last ring on the weatherpack connection, but not fully latched. Won't stay still enough now.

I thought about pulling the motor mount bracket.

How do you guys do it?

I hope it doesn't come apart going down the road.....

I think I need a lift in my garage!!!!!

Easiest is to remove the K rail brace. Then you undo the bolts that hold the shielding on.

That's what I thought too.

I was being lazy and didn't want to get another jack under the car.

You'll understand why when we meet up at the Cannery.

Owe you a beer for the help with the tune up.

You don't need another jack. Just undo the bolts and the brace falls out.

Maybe I'm confused. It looked like a motor mount above it. Wouldn't the motor tip down?

There is, but it's part of the actual crossmember. Your motor won't fall out.
