Not really evidence one way or another, but I have the sawblades on my car and after running them hard on the track, zero heat or fade issues. The brakes were absolutely just as strong on the last lap of the day as they were at the beginning. So they can't hurt!

Personally I prefer the saw blades . They just make the car look good ... The spoked wheels on the later models just look like after market rims and not factory . Do the spoked also cool the brakes well ?

The C4 I raced in had saw blades . During the 24 hr race at mosport they changed out the brake pads every 6 hrs if I remember correctly . It may have been every 3 hrs . I just know I never had any brake problems tho I wished they had put a switch in the car to shut off the anti lock brakes . You dont need them in the dry but there a great asset in the rain . Has anyone wired ina kill switch ? Good for auto cross or dry track days ...

What gets me is how the imports have been grabbing them up lately its a new fad I think.

Does mounting the "Sawblades" backwards as as shown on these imports defeat or reduce their brake cooling ability?

I'm just ready to sell them now. Performance-wise, brake is better but car is heavier with these wheels.

Plus there's no doubt they are uglier, IMO.

IMO is right. IMO the 1991 saw blades are the most beautiful corvette wheels
ever made. I hope everyone gets rid of them. Then I will have the last set. You all
can keep your five spokes.
