Have enjoyed the cross country trip with you and your wife, but I know it always nice to be home.

Once again, thank you for taking us on your trip! I even saw one of you pictures from AZ of a scene Ami and I saw over Thanksgiving trip to the Phoenix area before heading east.
Robert and I have been discussing a MR4 through some of that territory, perhaps in 2016. After seeing those pix of the great South West, I really want to do a Mountain Run out there next year. Are you interested??

I haven't made any plans for 2016 yet, so I would be interested in working with you to make a route. Lyndi and I have been talking about a Route 66 Cruise sometime. Maybe we could combine that with a MRWest. When I saw Ted in Las Vegas we talked about a Gathering in the Vegas area. That might be another good chance to combine the events like we do at the BG Gathering. Jim |

One of the options tossed about was to ship Zs to say Denver (or somewhere) close so as to cut the miles for those like yourself on the east coast; Denver being close to Pike's Peak, Royal Gorge Bridge and Park in CaƱon City, Durango (4 Corners) south Utah and US 85, "Arches" park, south through Bryce Canyon and follow Rt 66 east Winslow and the meteor crater, Monument Valley, and so on and so on...don't get me started! We might have to do more than one!? Dominic expressed interest in taking in the Black Hills (and might as well include Devil's Tower which is almost "next door" to the BHs). From there one can drop down to Denver on I-25 and pick up the group there. No limit to ideas! So, certainly we would be thrilled to have you join the "committee" to kick about some ideas. Perhaps you and those interested should meet for a brew (or two) at BG, lay out a Rand McNally (sp?) and "have at it"! We'd need to consider accommodations along the route, and all that logistical stuff, e.g., previewing the routes... but I'm getting ahead of myself. But, Yeah! Planning is half the fun and someone like yourself that has been there or parts of it would be a big help! (This kind of thing to me is what the Registry is all about!) Paul

Re: 2015 ZR-1 Road Trip to pick up my new (to me) 1995 Purple ZR-1
I just received the packages of items that I couldn't carry on the road trip. I shipped the spare top, a car cover and memorabilia home.
I have to give a hearty WELL DONE to the UPS Store in St George, Utah. The packing job they did on everything I sent was amazing. Everything arrived in perfect condition exactly on time. They held the shipment for a week so the packages wouldn't be sitting on my porch while I was still travelling. When we dropped the items off at the UPS Store, we had a nice conversation with the young man running the store. He obviously understood our passion for ZR-1 Corvettes and he took good care of our shipment. If you ever need to ship anything from St George, Utah, I highly recommend: UPS Store 473 South River Rd Ste 1 St George UT 84790 Jim |
