Re: warm weather!!!
Karl,
I use the Ranger Method for C6Z of replacing the fluid. Fill the reservoir about 1/4 full, then pump. Also a syringe or turkey baster would be helpful. After pumping about 50times, check reservoir and see if there is any black fluid. If there is, there suck out the fluid, then replace w new, again at about 1/4 reservoir. Pump pedal again. Repeat procedure until no black fluid shows up. Then top off the reservoir. Keeping the fluid clear helps maintain the master and slave in good condition.

Re: warm weather!!!
Looks like the turkey baster method worked!!!
One question, is the reservoir full at the line without the little black hat, or is it full with the black hat in the reservoir? Im guessing full with the black hat in the reservoir?

Re: warm weather!!!
The black cap should be flat, not extended. Just fill the reservoir to the MAX line.
Every few thousand miles, just check the reservoir for the color of the fluid. If it's looking opaque, time to replace. Fluid cheaper than replacing cylinders.

Re: warm weather!!!
There is a rubber hat/sock that goes into the fluid reservoir. I will take a picture of it later and post it.

I know what you're talking about. It's rubber under the reservoir cap. That rubber should be flat, not extended.

Re: warm weather!!!
Karl, that rubber boot folds in on itself so it's only about half as tall. Then as the level goes down, the boot fills the gap so air doesn't have to.
