Default Big brake conversion - finally complete

Some of you may recall that I started Wilwood conversion in May 2013. I started with the rear to make sure that I can solve the parking brake issue with 4 piston calipers.

Having solved parking brake concern, I was ready to finish the fronts. However, 380 build, started by head gasket failure, shelved the front conversion for awhile.

Well, now that 380 mini-stroker project is complete, I revisted the front brake conversion yesterday. These are 14" two pieces rotors with Superlite 6 radial mount calipers.

And with the wheel in place.

Great big thanks to Jim Voter and Nelson.
Also, great big thanks to Phil for supplying Fikse 18 inchers that made this conversion possible.

Thanks! I'm bedding the shoe/rotor. So, been taking it easy. Real improvement will be in resisting fade during repeated heavy use. Normal driving, difference won't be noticeable.

Looks good Yun. I enjoyed helping you complete a well thought out modification to your beautiful 1994 ZR-1.

The Wilwood Front Brake kit was a very straight forward installation with high quality parts.

Yun, nice job!
There's a freight train somewhere out
there missing its brakes!
Make sure your seatbelt's cinched
up when you stomp on that middle pedal...

Do the rotors affect stock offset?

Front rotors in 13" should work with A-mold, I think. Rear works with 11 inch A-mold wheels.

Ok, but I was asking about wheel offset and if the rotor hats change it.

Thanks guys! Last piece is to replace the rear w/ Wilwood two piece to match the front. I think I found a hat with correct offset - within 1/8".
