Default LCD Replacement

In case your LCD starts to fade be prepared for sticker shock. $350+ just for the little display. Apparently they are prone to being bleached out by the sun. Tabor repairs them and said most come from Fl , TX and CA. He reconditions them for $245 but the lcd is a separate item.

Ouch.. for $350+ I would be motivated to go to a custom cluster of some sort

That is on top of the $245 reconditioning price?

Well, good thing I have spares (90-91 and 93+)

Although the thought of VDO or autometer might be a cool set up.. Unfortunately I don't think a Touch Screen would fit well

Bummer. no 90-91.. I still think a Autometer or VDo would be cool..

I was talking to Chris Petris, he mentioned if you did the gauge conversion you could essentially remove the CCM and still be able to drive the car ( there was some issue if you have auto Ac however)

VDO gauges are cool, until those go out. My old 951 had VDO gauges. They were nice, but when the speedo quits working you need to have it fixed. There are only a few places that repair those speedo's too. Ask me how I know. Granted it won't happen for 30+ years, but it happens at some point.
