Re: Oil Filter Info
Dave,
Here's a link taken from right here in the ZR-1 Net Registry web site, that will answer about any question a person might have about the various oil filters. http://people.msoe.edu/~yoderw/oilfi...lterstudy.html

Re: Oil Filter Info
I've been running Bosch and with redline oil and have hardly no chain tensioner rattle on startup and just did a oil analysis, it came back saying Insulubles were low showing excellent oil filtration. I haven't tested any other filters though for comparison.

Re: Oil Filter Info
It is curious that the NAPA Gold filters I use on all the other units in the family fleet are black but the one for "The Beast" is white. Go figure...!?!?!

Re: Oil Filter Info
Wix makes the LT-5 oil filters for NAPA. A real bargain. Half the price of K&N and Mobil one. A good filter as well.

Re: Oil Filter Info
I have used the Hasting LF391 since 1990 none ever made any better excellent at retaining oil in filter for startup. Others just copied them and made more expensive, when you go in for oil filters order for a Renualt 86 1.7 liter and you get the same filter for less 4-5 bucks a filter.....
