autocross school at Loudon
Since there was some interest in the area I thought I'd point out the SCCNH is running a school in the NHMS front parking lot on August 23rd. They're a good bunch and this would be a great containable event to go from 'feet wet' to swimming confidently.

Re: autocross school at Loudon
Hell is probably an overstatement at first . Well on the other hand at the very beginning it's an eye-opener as to how and when to start a hard turn so those first few corners will be shriekers for sure.
When I was on street tires full time (99 Cobra) I'd get a full season out of a set doing 25 or 30 events (at Devens on much bigger courses than NHMS) so once you're dialed in a bit it's not as terrible as it appears. Actually doing this with a daily driver (or any non-truck/jeep/SUV/minivan) at first is probably a great idea. Of course in my view this should be a mandatory part of driver training for everyone LOL. Cheers, - Jeff
