After the C4 and the ZR-1 in particular, the good folks at Chevrolet never got the rear end of the Corvette right again. To me it's the ugliest part of a C5, a C6 and now the C7...just my opinion, of course. Come to think of it, the same thing has happened with the Porsche 911. Looking at the rear end of a new 911 and an old, air-cooled one, the new 911 looks like it has eaten way too much bratwurst over the past 40 years. Here's what I mean.

I know that feeling all to well, as with any Vette I have or have owned, Permagrin has always been a part of the Corvette driving experience.
