I wonder why they called this a ZR-**.
Nothing like a LT5. No 4 cam/32 valve style.
The LT5 is "The Heart of the Beast (ZR-1)"

And,
This didn't fall into the sink-hole, right?

That article states that the whole Falconer engined car is only 100lbs. heavier than the equivalent small block stock version.
Doesn't that mean that it's lighter than a stock ZR-1?.. Very hard to believe.

Just my humble opinion, but I think it's an ugly "packaging exercise".

NO way that big old honkin v12 is only 100 lbs heavier than the LT1 or even the LT5 for that matter

they had to stretch the car just to make it fit and that big old v12 is a heavy mutha

kinda like the "new boat motor" everyone is excited about, sure is pretty, but it really is a boat anchor and is very heavy

cool idea, but execution was a bit rough on the Falconer "big doggie" as we like to call it.

The Falconer V12 engine was originally designed as an aircraft engine, mainly as a powerplant for P-51 Mustang replicas. They are very light weight.
It is based on the small block Chevy design.

....and as I recall, our engines are no lightweights--710 pounds I think. Maybe some of the other guys have a more accurate number. --Bob
