Cam cover vent material
Getting ready to put cam covers on. What material do you use for the vent tubes. It looks to be a "scotch-brite" material.

I used scotch-brite, the green stuff. Folded it up on itself a few times and secured with the stock wire.

I have some that is about an inch thick, from a floor buffer If any one wants some shoot me your address and I will send you some to cut and use,
I have White, green, red and black. The order is fine to course. ZR1@gmx.com |

Pack it in...
Layer the Scotch-brite & pack in as much as you can. Will breath fine & will help keep oil in the engine.

All,
This is an old thread. Ultimately I replaced the Scotchbrite I originally installed w foam material from Marc Haibeck. Even replacing it in one cam cover was enough to eliminate a persistent oil leak I had when winding the motor beyond 5K.
