Default Shipping plenum

Just wondering if anyone knew how heavy it was and/or if anyone had any suggestions on packing it nicely. Im planning to send it out this week but want to be sure its safely packaged as to not be damaged. I have a suspension coilover box from my D which is pretty thick and reinforced but was just brainstorming solutions on making sure its ups proof as I don't want to be posting a WTB 93-5 plenum ad anytime soon !

Packed with packaging paper in a box that it fits well and then that box packed in another that is packed with paper on all six sides. I've shipped similar items doing the packaging paper and then using 1/2" or 3/4" Styrofoam on all six sides that fit snug in the outer box. Sheet or block Styrofoam or pad is pretty readily available.

An ideal outer box would be an appropriate sized TV or monitor carton or use two of the appropriate sized ones.

Just don't use UPS! Ask Lee or myself why.

I noticed when I got my items from Kinsler, they used expanding foam insulation in a garbage bag set the plenum in it and if formed around it, pretty cool.

I am sure they are using something specifically made for shipping but that is what it appeared to be

When I sent mine to Locobob a few years ago for porting I lined the box with half inch styrofoam and wrapped the plenum and injector housings with bubble wrap. That may have been overkill but they round tripped from Florida to Oregon and back with out a scratch.

Mike, when I shipped the plenum, injector housings, and air horn after I sold them a few months ago,the entire package weighed less than 33lbs.
