Those front hubs are thick, they push the wheel outward to allow clearance for the caliper.

the wheels (depending on the wheel) will still fit under the fender

That was the issue when I had the Brembos. The hub was thick and moved the offset further out causing my Z06 wheels to extend beyond the fender opening.
The stock Z06 rotors rectified that.
