Paint Problems
Hello Dale and welcome to the forum,
Thought I would start a new thread on this one as I can't be the only person with this type of paint problem. My car was a driver in the Salt Lake area and must have been driven during the winter. The clamshell especially has little pits in it from driving. The windshield is also pitted badly. There are also a lot of scratches in the paint that need some attention. I am curious if you have anything to fill these in (to a certain extent anyway) and reduce there appearance. They are noticeable under flourescent lights especially. Thanks John

Thanks for considering Adam's Polishes!! For the windshield I would recommending using a Clay Bar to help remove the pit marks and any dirt build-up that may have acculmulated on it. What the Clay does is it pulls all types of contaminants away from glass and paint, leaving these surfaces smooth and clean. You want to use our Detail Spray as the Clay Lubricant. To get a better understanding of this process, check out this video: http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-videos_clay_bar.aspx. For the scratches I would recommend looking at our Swirl and Haze Remover. Our Swirl and Haze remover is not a rubbing compound and is less abrasive then toothpaste. This makes it perfect for safetly removing light scratches, swirls, and oxidation from your vehicles paint. You want to follow or combined the Swirl and Haze Remover with our Revive Polish. Our Revive Polish will help to clean the paint and restore the color, depth, and clarity to the finish. You can use both of these products by hand or they can be applied in conjunction with the Porter Cable D/A Polisher. Again here is another video to help give you a better understanding of this process: http://www.adamspolishes.com/t-video..._and_haze.aspx I hope this helps John, please let me know if you have any questions.

Re: Paint Problems
I have had good results from touchup123.com products for touching up chips and deep scratches on my red 92. Have not tried it yet on my black 94 Z or 35th.

Re: Paint Problems
John,
I tried that Claybar on my car 4 weeks ago and it made a world of difference..... I had some scratches from keys, pants, GF's purse, ETC and most of them came right out. I have to admit I was skeptical, VERY skeptical, but a friend already had used it on all of his cars and got me hooked. I ended up doing my Cadillac (01 sts) and my 94 Z.... Both came out like showroom I NEVER watched informational video's before (because they were boring), but they have video's on their site and walk you thru STEP by step... It worked so well I asked my friend for Adams contact info and asked if the Registry could get a group discount, and Bingo! |

Re: Paint Problems
I will probably give the clay bar a try. Watching their videos was very informative. Can't wait to hear how others like their products. Thanks for hooking us up with them.

Re: Paint Problems
Dale,
Can't seem to get to the clay bar area on the left hand side of your site. Clicking on Clay Bar gives me something besides the Clay Bar.
