Default Formerly known as JCRUZ

Couldn't remember my password....

Had a hard time getting past the "secret" password...lt5, lt-5, LT5, LT-5, whatever

After I finally got past that, I was able to use the "Forgot my password" link.

Never got an email.

So, here I am, back after a long time as "Isolation"

Been there and done that.......and you are a software developer...........not being able to sign on (Bank America should have this security)

Now you have the abominable two IDs....from the same household.

They will not even let me have a second ID for my wife (Dynamite)....I wanted to start getting wives involved (CF does not have those issues and neither does Bank America)

I did not become a paying member for all the passwords I have to remember and e-mail I would or would not be getting to get to the Political Incorrect Members Only Section anyway and this Forum does NOT Allow Wives to Participate

My wife Priscilla AKA Dynamite knows more about what wrench is what wrench than most guys on this Forum. She even knows what a 14mm Open End Metric Flex Head Ratchet is

Sorry Dave (ZZZZZZR1).....guess this shoots down any possibility of me (Dynomite) or my wife (Dynamite) becoming part of the In Crowd here......LOL

Welcome Isolation.....a very creative ID which kind of describes me on this Forum

Yeah, I hate to whine, but it's pretty frustrating to be in a corner like that -- can't use my old ID and can't contact anyone to try and use my old ID. Tried many times.

I'm looking forward to being more active than I have recently!

Were you a 'Contributor' with the old account? Make another payment, and the account info might default to access.

I did it on CF, when they put me in moderation for making fun of blood n guts / shot up dogs / ''guess who died'' posts in CFOT, and upping my membership Silver to Gold trumped the moderation.

I posted right away, and got the eternal lock. They can do the hermaphroditic thing as far as I'm concerned...

So you couldn't remember your forum
password? Are you sure what email
address the account was set up with?

Did you contact a moderator?

I'm sure we can get your original account
setup

Hi David, correct, I couldn't remember my password. When I tried to re-register it correctly indicated that my email address was already in use, so my account info seems to be intact. I use the email account for jcruz every day, so that's operational.

I didn't think about going through a moderator. Is there one in particular I should contact? My intent wasn't so much to clutter up the forum with this kind of issue -- but rather let people know my new ID if they happened to remember me as jcruz.

Thanks,

John

I just tried this and I received an email within a few minutes of my User ID and a link to reset my password. The email is automated from the forum.

I wonder if it ended up in junk mail?

If you once before forgot your PW, and got a random PW generated, you might still be on the random PW. Check your junk mail trash for the PW...

You know, it really would be a good idea to have a "Guest Postings" section if for no other reason someone locked out for forgetting their password can at least contact the forum so an adminstrator can contact them and get them back on. Otherwise there is no way to contact anyone about your missing password. I had this exact same problem and only because I know Jim Voter's personal email was I able to get back on. --Bob
