Default SoCal Dyno

Curiosity getting the best of me. Thinking of putting my Z on a dyno to see what it will do. Anyone have a recommendation on where to take it in the Los Angeles area? Don't mind a drive if the shop is reputable. The 1 I found didn't make me comfortable enough to hand my keys over.

Thx

Be sure to tell them - air/fuel permitting - to run it to at least 7000 rpm. (Lots of un-initiated dyno jocks will chop the run at around 6k - out of habit, I suppose.)

Chassis dyno shops are plentiful in SoCal but good ones are hard to find. Many have either crappy facilities or poorly trained technicians.

For the last 15 years, I've used only Westech Performance Group in Mira Loma which is out by Ontario Airport. They've got a Superflow chassis dyno and, if you're so inclined, two Superflow engine dynos. Their dyno technicians are pretty darn good.

In fact, I'm headed there this week with my V6 Camaro project and will be back there, again, next month with my Z06 project.

If I needed to do some chassis dyno work with Barney, my 95, that's where I'd go.

Hib,

Your projects sound interesting. Keep us posted on results.

Thanks Hib. That's the kind of thing I was looking for. Will check them out. Heard their name before.

Appreciate it everyone.
