Re: C4 ZF Hurst shifters
I've done two now and think it's the way to go. Gives a great feel to the shifter. If your half way mechanically inclined, you'll have no problem doing the install. Taking my time and removing the exhaust system, it took me about 5 hours the first time. The second time it only took about two hours. Although do-able without removing the exhaust I don't recommend it if you've never done it before. Makes for a good weekend project.

Re: C4 ZF Hurst shifters
Thanks for the advice guys, when I get more time I'm going to do this one for sure....and install the beam plates while I'm at it.

Re: C4 ZF Hurst shifters
Sounds good and easy. But is there any kind of enhanced wearout to the ZF transmisson or other parts ?
I have this thoughts because I got such a short shifter in a other former car make where was rumored there could be enhanced wearout. But if so then it is probably negligible. BTW: if you loose the reverse gear ring, shifting is just like in the other gears only without any safety barricade, isnt`t it ?
