Help with DTC codes 31, 36, & 42
Hello, I have a new to me 1990 ZR1 with low mileage. It takes a bit of cranking to start and idles fine for a while, then it start to sputter, and will shut off if I don't give it gas. I pulled codes 31, 36, & 42, and would really appreciate some advice on the best way to proceed to get this fixed. Note that the PO changed out the injectors. Thanks in advance.

I would start with the lowest code first, 31 which is the cam sensor circuit.

Clear the codes and see if the same ones come back - if not repeatable, you might have a flakey ECM.

Have you got FSM yet? That and a multimeter are an absolute necessity for the car - more so than a wrench. And for your home too.
When you get it, note that with multiple DTC's, some often defer diagnostic sequence right away, to another DTC, if present (could be by the DTC number, as Franke was sayin' there)...
