Default Corvette Hood Support

Ecklers Corvette Hood Support with New Outer Sleeve

I just bought two of these Hood Supports. Shown below with Carter's Support Stop. These new Hood Supports will actually hold the hood up without the stop in place and you actually have to apply a slight down pressure to get the hood to easily and slowly start to close. Amazing what a New Hood Support actually is capable of.

If I pull the hood down about 6 inches and let go it will actually go back up to full open

They are about $60 if you use your own old outer sleeve...... Ecklers Corvette Hood Support Using your Old Outer Sleeve

My supports are in good shape but the plastic locking deal is gone. So I made one out of PVC pipe that snaps on and off the support....

Mine do that as well. PO must have replaced them.
