Now I know what you are going to say the track has insurance. The truth in the matter is anyone can sue anyone at any given time. Any lawsuit of any kind could destroy the registry just in legal fees.
The board of directors voted on this event twice to make sure we were doing what was in the best interest of the group.

Don't Worry Crowne Point races will be here soon enough and you can see what that "421" beast will do there.
since we're all so worried about liability...which could be taken care of by a form that a second year law student could draft...I find it odd that I can't get an answer to the "are we insured to serve alcohol" question I've been asking for the last few days

Your not stirring up anything Ron. There's just some frustration being aired out here that's all.

Don't know about drag races but on many road racing tracks if you have an accident and damage the track YOU are liable for the cost of repairs to the track as well. A very expensive sport, road racing.

Now you can go to the Mecum auction instead ...

Many (including me) wanted to race too. But, as Pete said, it isn't that big a deal - meeting and BSn with friends and talkin cars and cookin on the barbee...is where its at. How-some-ever, there will be drag racing as long as Beach Bend holds to their "Test and Tune" period on Saturday (what we did last year). But, if drag racing was the only reason to come, you'll miss a lot of fun, the chance to learn some really neat stuff regarding mods and supercharging, and a chance to hang out with a lot of friends - see and do a lot more.

Oh, and then too, if the last several years are any indication, RAIN has been a spoiler on more than several occations; making drag racing a less than 50-50 possibility at best! So, racing would be the icing on the cake, but I wouldn't go to BG just for that. Too "iffy" with the weather, and too much fun otherwise!
