Another Great 3 Days @ VIR
Had three fantastic days with the Porsche club! Hauled a friends P-car while he towed our camper. Nice staying at the track vs. the 25 mile trip to the hotel every night.
Had hoped to get one more weekend out of the brakes, but 2 days on the south course were pretty hard on them. So I swapped in new after the first day. |

Re: Another Great 3 Days @ VIR
Thanks!
Wife held her own in the Intermediate (White) group with some fast cars! About 25 cars, mostly Porsches and BMWs, with just 5 or 6 cars getting by her on the tight south course. Only one or two cars could hang with her on the straights, most could close the gap in the corners, but she would quickly pull away coming out of the corners. Monday on the full course was a different story. Only 4 cars could catch her, a GT3-RS, modified Cayman, C6 Z06, and M3. The Z06 and M3 were instructor cars that ran in her group giving rides to students. I'm sure it will be a much different next go round as she got signed off to move up to the advanced group. There were some highly modified cars in the advanced group. |
