Re: Opinions on a 94 Z
It's clean.....cleaner than mine
did you eye up the ball joints & a-arm bushings? The hoses look OE, plug wires are replacements so I would figure by now the injectors & coils have been done. There is no intake screen so I'd be curious to see the cooling stack & how much or how little road debris is up there. These are all minor points though. If you buy now you will have the rest of the season to shake her down and plan your maintenance program & any other things that will get attention over the winter. Too bad about the title on that 94. I never quite see how that kind of paperwork gets screwed up. Good luck in your quest! Tom forgot to ask this....whose tires are on the car? They look like GSC's from the pattern? Check the date codes as we only get 5 yrs of good use before these ultra performance tires start to get hard in the tread & loose grip.

Re: Opinions on a 94 Z
I have not seen the ball joints or bushings, he still has the all oe parts that were replaced, and he is giving them to me at no cost, the injectors have been changed, and the car has Eagle GS-Cs in front and Sumitomo HTR-Zs in back. Fronts are from 1999 and the rears are from 2005.
Would they be in good enough shape to drive the car from Indianapolis back to Mississippi? |

Re: Opinions on a 94 Z
Just be careful as the fronts may have traction problems due to age. It would be out of my depth as I'm not a tire engineer. I just go by what G/Yr says about their performance tires that our cars use. I know when I bought my 90 it still had the OE rubber from BG on it as the car had 7400 miles on it in Dec. 2004. I drove a bit ( 1200 miles ) and although the car was well kept in a HVAC'ed garage the tread was hard as steel & had about the same grip level.
Just take it easy, but if you want to use the car this summer I would urge you to add new rubber to your budget. Other than tires, this car seems to be ready to rock & roll. It's nice of the owner to include all the take offs to boot. Good luck in your quest! Tom
