Default Mobil 1 1-207 vs Bosch 3401 - same filter?

Both of these filters are made by Champion Labs. They even have some of the same markings and diagram on box.

I don't think the filter is identical but very close and the Mobil costs 2X as much.

That being said, I use the Bosch as it retains the oil better then the M1 filter.

Just curious if anyone knew the skinny on the Bosch. Is it rebranded with just some minor tweaks?

No idea but I get the M1 filter cheap when I buy 5 quarts at advance during their sale. I have to buy 10qts to get 2 deals and always have an extra filter. I need to sell them I guess.

I think the K&N and the mobill 1 are the same. but not sure about the bosch

I switched over to the bosch as it's cheaper and seems to work better

mr haibeck recommends it and after seeing the filter comparo article and knowing how much marc does his homework, it's the logical choice

probably need to switch over to amsoil from mobil 1 but I'm still buying jugs of mobil 1 extended at wally world and change my oil alot

keeping 9 cars maintained is proving to be a challeng
