Just top off the master - probably don't need to replace anything for a long time. Besides, why throw money at it ?

FWIW, my 91 has been leaking (slowly) from day one and I just top it off
every so often.

is this a fairly common occurance with this setup? I will just do as advised, and keep an eye on it for a couple weeks to make sure it isn't a fairly quick drain.

Rob,

Check the carpeting on the drivers side. It may be wet from the fluid leaking out of master. Also, if your slave is a replacement, seal on piston may have been installed in reverse. If you pump master and fluid goes black again, keep draining it until you can pump clutch and fluid stays clear.
