Default Final Details #017 (Opinions)

Yesterday I was finishing up a few little details after replacing injectors/coils/wires. While cleaning up, I was not thrilled at how the throttle body looked, so I hammered out a little cover today at the shop. Well maybe not hammered, but we did laser cut a plate from 1/8 alum sheet, then CNC engraved it. Can I get some opinions before I attach it.

How did you make that? Is it a separate cover for the OE cover? Oh, forgot, that looks way cool!

Not to be a wise guy. You did clean up the electrolytic corrosion from the plate and the mounting surface, you got all the white pasty stuff cleaned off the aluminum and neutralized it with baking soda or vinegar.

Not too tough to make when you have access to a shop full of CNC equipment. I run the laser department and just so happened today the CNC mill guy needed some laser work, and I needed some engraving.

No it's not attached yet, lots of prep work to do beforehand. It's a seperate cover that will seal over the entire top of the throttle body. Probably use a silicone product to mount it, so it's easy to remove if need be.
