Lee,

If you have the cover on to hide the cables it shouldnt leak onto a windsheild. With the sag of the cover. it should at least drip out the ends.

I always releas the pressure off the ram and leave the wieght on the safety system.

Looks like it was the nut for the line going into the ram, not tight.....that was a factory install piece, but no harm no foul
