'90 Rear Window Drain Kit
Hey All,
I ordered from MAMotorworks their Rear Window Drain Kit. I was just wondering if any of you have installed this in your '90. Just wanted to make sure before I started drilling any holes, that since our ZR-1's are wider in the rear, that the drain tube will come out where it should. With the water that collects there, my weatherstripping is separating from each other at the corner. Thanks, Big Russ.

Wouldn't drill holes if it were my car.
The weather strip on these C4's separate in the same area, use some instant super glue to get it back together. We use a one of those baby's mucus extractor bought in any drug store for under a buck , to get that standing water out. Work's great. HTH

Mucus extractor! I love it.
My weatherstip has completely separated at the corners, but there are no adverse affects. I am similarly unwilling to drill holes in my Z. However, I would like to get all the scale out of the corners. I am probably going to have to get in there with some vinegar. Any other recommendations? -Burt |

I installed the drains in mine and think it's great. Water doesn't puddle there anymore & run down the car when you dry it. Only change I recommend to the installation process is to forget the caulking & silicone in instead. Also, paint the brass top to match the body with touch up paint. Mine is black so was really easy. This should have been done by GM.
