LT-5 ID Number - ZR-1 Net Registry Forums

I used the info in the "VIN Numbers" sub-section of the "ZR1 INFO" section of this site to decipher the code stamped on my '93 crate LT-5. According to the info on the site, the first five spaces, 10ZVC are the Mercury Marine Tracking Number for the '93 405HP engine. That's fine, but my engine is stamped "10VWC"!! What's the significance of the "W" ib place of the "V"?? Anybody know?? THANKS!! :?:
