Default ??? 1990 ZR1 offsets

Does any one know the offsets on a set of ZR1 rims for a 1990?

Looking at a set Front 9.5" x 17" 56mm offset
Rear 11.0" x 17" 50 mm offset

Will they fit a 1990 ZR1?

Thanks, John

I don't know about the front wheels, but the rear 11 X 17 for ZR-1 should be 36mm offset if I am not mistaken. That offset you are showing is for the aftermarket ones that non ZR-1 Corvette owners or Camaro, etc. have been using for the ZR-1 look.

So to answer your question,
The fronts will fit no problem.
The Rears will be off set just over 1/2 inch to the outside edge (50mm vs. 36mm) as a stock rim. It's probably going to a be a tight fit under the lip of the rear fender wheel openings.
My guess is that they might work, but you'd have to mount the tire on the wheel and bolt it on the car to be absolutely sure.
And if they don't fit under you could always go out and buy a set of air shocks and pump up to say 150psi and lift the back of the car over them, just like we used to do back in the 70's.

Those rears are "GS" offset. You could use them with spacers.

John,

They will do very well with spacers and longer wheel studs. A 14mm spacer duplicates the OE 36mm ZR-1 fitment and I did mine with 16mm. If I had it to do over I would have done mine with 18mm and I've suggested that to a couple members who I believe have done it. If your "rear" isn't "offset" to either side the 18mm "fills" the wheelhouse very well.

"Z51 Jeff" AND "LGAFF" I believe had spacers done by the same fellow I did and went with the 18mm. I would imagine they'll comment soon.

Carter has mentioned in the past he'd consider the spacers and a member might be able to save a little "loot"! I'll maybe ask him to do some 18mm for me in the fall/winter!
