Default CCM

Hi guys,
i have a problem, my fasten belt light is always on (cluster light)
I read on manual to check gray and white connector on CCM.
Now, what is the shortly method to find the CCM?
I try to dismount the part below the steering wheel but i don't find it...
Someone can help me???

Thanks in advance
Max

Hi Max, I really don't know if all the ZR-1's are the same, as I have a 90. I would think that the CCM would be mounted in the same place on all the yrs.
Inside or behind the center cluster, behind the the airbag control box is where the CCM is mounted.

You say the seatbelt symbol is lit up on your DIC? Is the INFLREST light also lit up on the DIC? If yes to both, then you will have to check the airbag sensors mounted on the frame. If you have the both lights lit up, then the sensors have lost their grounds. Look over this link.

That link talks about what I think is going on with your car.

Had the exact same thing on mine. Redid both the sensor mounts and the problem was gone...

Hello Tom...there's only the light on the cluster. The "inflrest" light never come on. I have think that can be the seatbelt switch work bad. It could be??
I can put a wire in both hole to close the contact on the switch and look if the light goes out. It's a good idea??
I have a '90 Z too...But on manual the location is "behind center of I/P carrier".

The previous owner removed the bulb as there was a airbag fault. Replace the bulb in the DIC panel. And then troubleshoot the SIR system.
