Default FX3 actuator

Hi, guys,

It is my understanding FX3 is a little different between 90-91 and 92-95.
Is the difference at the top of the shock only or actuators as well?
Also, are front and rear actuators different also?

Actuators are the same. Shocks are different. Yes, front and rear actuators are different lengths.

As Greg has stated the actuators are the same from 89-95 for the FX-3 system. The difference was the top gear in the MY 89-91 is the same with 92 being the break point. The actuators work for the entire run.

Thanks.
I went to a shop this morning to replace spring cushions and while at it had both shocks removed and replace top bushings w/ poly pieces. The car was throwing a code for passenger side rear. So, I went prepared with replacement gear for the shock. However, actuator planetary gear was shot also.
Luckily, shop owner has a 90 ZR-1 and offered his actuator. That's why I wanted to confirm this topic.
Once this is corrected the car will be at 100% mechanically!

Thanks.

Awesome glad to here you back into specs. A lot of folks complain about the FX-3 system but a working system does indeed work.

This is the first time it failed since I bought the car in 2000.
Driving everyday may have something to do with it. Or, I am just lucky!
Also, LTPWS still works fine - knock on wood.
